Leviata is the result of the latest project by tapeweaver Mattias Lagerkvist, who’s foray in to delayed drenched guitar and drone compositions under the name Ekolali has echoed for over a decade.

However, this release splits the echo with a major shift in both approach and sound.
A guttural declaration of throbbing bass lines and hypnotic melodies, pulsating drones and primal screeches is accompanied by field recordings and chaotic percussion. Mangled by broken tape delays, ground hum and a four track held together with gaffa tape, Leviata is like a road trip to Eleusis; it shakes, rumbles, squeaks and squeals.

Previously making his home on labels such as Not Not Fun, BAKK, Patience and Constellation Tatsu, Leviata sees his own 20 year old label being brought back to life.

Find yourself a place to hide, the primordial soup is back for revenge.
